Southampton welcome Chelsea to St Mary’s in the Premier League this afternoon, in a game that could be a tight affair given the strength of the Saints on home soil.

Chelsea are narrow favourites to come out on top but their away form has been inconsistent which suggests a stalemate might be on the cards.

Hosts Southampton are in good form under new manager Claude Puel after recovering from a slow start, sitting ninth in the Premier League table with 13 points from nine games. Having failed to win two of their last three on the road, Southampton have a chance of getting a result.
